The Pollards will bring an enclosed observation hive and talk about the joys and challenges of keeping bees. The Pollards, who market Extra Virgin Zip Code Honey, manage over 100 honeybee colonies in the Metroplex.

The Dallas Farmers Market is one of the largest open air markets in the United States and is recognized as a true farmers market where farmers sell their crops. Sol Calinao is public relations director for the market.

Dan Probst, Bageniece Farms, "Raising Backyard Chickens": 2:20–2:50 pm

At his farm in Poetry, Texas, Dan raises chickens, ducks, turkeys and geese. He has been instrumental in advancing the cause of backyard chicken keeping in North Texas. Come learn what’s involved in raising chickens and see a “chicken ark” (also known as a “chicken condo”).
