Timberglen Public Library chess night

Where: Timberglen Branch Library (in the Classroom)

The Timberglen library has been hosts a free chess class every Tuesday from 6-8pm. The class offers an opportunity to play and learn in a casual setting with beginners and tournament players alike.
Players of all levels are welcome to attend. Hope to see you there!

Regular attendees include a gentleman in the top 1% of all players in the USA, two boys in the top 7% of all youths in the USA, and a number of talented players of all ages."

Lawn Free - Landscaping with a Purpose

Do you look at a summer green lawn and shudder to think of the mowing and water bill? Please join Michael McDowell as he talks about how and why he replaced his lawn with a native plant garden. He will discuss drought tolerant plants, creating a wildlife habitat, how to remove a lawn, maintenance, and resources for additional information.
