Tadpole Tales: Toddler Storytime

Tadpole Tales is a fun, free, and social way for the very young to learn language and counting skills. This storytime aims to introduce children to the world of books and reading with fun, interactive experiences in a safe environment. Tadpole Tales incudes stories, rhymes, songs, finger-plays, bubbles and ends with a simple craft activity and book giveaway. Each Tadpole Tales is centered around a theme from start to finish. Check the print calendar at the branch to see each week's theme and dress up along with children's librarian, Ms. Anna! Total program length is between 30 and 45 minutes.

This program is targeted to children ranging in age from 2 to 4 years old, but all ages are welcome!


Lily Pad Lapsit: Baby and Caregiver Storytime

When: Wednesday, September 02, 2015 - 11:15 AM
Where: Renner Frankford Branch Library (in the Auditorium)

Lily Pad Lapsit is a great way for caregivers and babies to bond through movement, song, play, and rhyme. Children's Librarian, Ms. Anna, will guide caregivers through 15 minutes of interactive programming, and then provide soft baby-safe toys for 15 minutes of free play and soothing music. Give your little one a head start to literacy by joining us at Lily Pad Lapsit every Wednesday morning.

This program is targeted to babies 0-18 months, but all ages are welcome!

Library Live! Myths and Folktales

When: Sunday, September 13, 2015 - 2:00 PM
Where: Renner Frankford Branch Library (in the Auditorium)

Join master storyteller Jiaan Powers and Spike, her feisty lion puppet, as they introduce you to folktales from around the world. Learn about storytelling and pantomime - what they are and how to do them. Create movements that bring life to your stories and participate in re-telling one of the folktales, even using your imagination to add new characters!
