VITA Tax Help

Dallas Public Library will partner with the IRS's VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) program to offer free, in-person tax assistance through trained volunteers. Assistance is geared toward people with low-to-moderate income, persons with disabilities, the elderly and limited English speaking taxpayers who need assistance in preparing their own tax returns. People interested in receiving assistance should bring W-2's, last year's tax return, Social Security cards for all dependents, and photo I.D. Space is limited. Famous Texas Writers and Some Not So Famous!

Where: Fretz Park Branch Library (in the Black Box Theater)

Texas has produced a number of famous and successful writers, such as Katherine Anne Porter, Horton Foote, Patricia Highsmith, Larry McMurtry, and screenwriter Owen Wilson. Please join us as One Thirty Productions presents a program of works not only by these authors, but also the likes of Frank Dobie, Philip Atlee, Ben K. Green, and Dillon Anderson. It will be an afternoon to celebrate Texas literature and authors.

Presented by the Bath House Cultural Center, in collaboration with the City of Dallas Office of Cultural Affairs, and the Dallas Public Library
