The Secret Life of Pigeons

When: Saturday, July 30, 2016 - 2:00 PM
Where: Audelia Road Branch Library (in the Auditorium)

Learn all about these neighborhood birds and debunk the myths that surround these common, yet fascinating creatures. Discover how pigeons are only a handful of animals that have passed the mirror test and the reasons why they are able to navigate back home. Participants will write notes and a few will be selected to send back with the pigeon to our center. Presented by the Trinity River Audubon Center.

Note: pigeon release portion of this program must be held outdoors. Recommended for ages seven and up.

Summer Book Buddies

Ensure your child maintains reading skills this summer: Join Book Buddies! Each weekly session encourages your child to continue reading by playing games and pairing them with a trained reading volunteer. Sessions last from June 13th through August 4th. Register your child at a participating location. For students entering grades 2-5.


Teen Anime Club!

Do you like Anime and Japanese pop culture? Come join A.T.A.C (Audelia Teen Anime Club)! Our Summer meetings are now held every Tuesdays from 6-8PM.

For the first hour, everyone will get a chance to work on their drawing skills, cosplay costumes, or play some video games. For the second hour, we will watch 2 episodes of teen friendly anime.

For teens, 13-18 years old.

No registration/membership required. Feel free to drop in whenever you like.
