Are you a local Dallas area author? We would like to invite you to participate in our annual Local Authors' Book Fair on Saturday, July 29, 2017 from 2:00-4:00 P.M.


This event is free to both authors and attendees.
Authors will have a chance to meet with our local
community and be able to sell their books during the event.

Free AARP Tax Assistance

Where: Audelia Road Branch Library (in the Classroom 1 & 2)

AARP Foundation Tax-Aide offers free tax preparation help to anyone and if you're 50 and older, and can't afford a tax preparation service, we were made especially for you. We understand that retirement or other life changes may mean your taxes are a little more complicated now. With the help of our team of IRS-certified volunteers we make it easy for you.

AARP Foundation Tax-Aide has more than 5,000 locations in neighborhood libraries, malls, banks, community centers and senior centers. There's no fee and no sales pitch for other services and AARP membership is not required.


1-on-1 Computer Help

When: Tuesday, February 28, 2017 - 11:00 AM
Where: Audelia Road Branch Library (in the In Library)

Ask a library staff member about scheduling a one-hour appointment for a one-on-one computer tutoring session. We can show you basic computer skills such as using the mouse and keyboard, email, internet searching, downloading/uploading documents, creating a document in Microsoft Word, and Microsoft PowerPoint presentations.

We also provide help with downloading eBooks from our digital library collection or using any of our databases.

Call 214-670-1350 to set up a one hour appointment Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays. Please give at least 24 hour notice.


Toddler Storytime

Science Action Club

DAFA Stitchers present an opportunity for members of the Dallas Fiber Arts Group to get together and socialize over their handwork.

The monthly "come & go" meeting allow each person to share his or her passion for the fiber arts, learn new techniques, and socialize with friends.

New fiber art enthusiasts are welcome to bring handwork to show and tell while visiting with others.

Please bring your own lunch.

DAFA Stitchers are part of Dallas Area Fiber Artists.
