Citizenship & Money Management: DFW International

DFW International Community Alliance is proud to partner with the Dallas Public Library to provide these FREE classes that will prepare green card holders for the U.S. Citizenship Naturalization Exam. Students will also learn basic money management skills through the FDIC MoneySmart program as part of the class thanks to the support of DollarWise and Mayors for Financial Literacy. Each series is 11 sessions (22 hours) long.

No registration necessary. Bring to the first class: a pencil, a notebook and $20 for the Citizenship textbook.

Thirteen Moons on a Turtle's Back
Did you know that there are 13 moons in every year, each of which has a name and a story? And, that there are always 13 scales on a turtle's back? Each represents myths or legends of different Native American tribes. Learn more about this fascinating relationship and the closeness of native people to nature. Visual artist and tree art specialist Nadine Burke will help you make your own turtle and tree to take home.

on a flower, there is a formula for everything. In this hands-on
program, you'll learn about math and simple machines, how they
work and where they are found in our everyday lives. Among several
stations, young mathematicians will explore the Fibonacci sequence
and work to build simple and compound machines using LEGO®
Education simple machines kits.
