1-on-1 Job Application Assistance

Are you frustrated or intimidated with looking for work online? Would you like another person to help guide you step-by-step in the application process?

Please visit our 1-on-1 Job application assistance program led by our volunteer, Scott Watson. Available every other Wednesday by appointment beginning Jan. 20th.

Get immediate help with:
-Online applications
-Creating job site profiles
-Online job searching
-Updating resumes

Bring a USB flash drive, a notebook, and all information you'll need to access your email and to complete an online application.

Limited to 2 attendees per appointment.

This is a free and open to the public job assistance program provided by our local volunteer Scott Watson. Scott Watson works for Morgan Stanley Investment Management and volunteers at the library during his spare time.





AARP Foundation Tax-Aide

When: Tuesday, February 16, 2016 - 10:00 AM

AARP Foundation Tax-Aide, an AARP Foundation program, helps low- to moderate-income taxpayers have more discretionary income for everyday essentials, such as food and housing, by assisting with tax services and ensuring they receive applicable tax credits and deductions.

AARP Foundation Tax-Aide is available free to taxpayers with low and moderate income, with special attention to those 60 and older.

First come, first serve. No registration required.

Every Tuesdays from February 2nd to April 12th, 10 AM to 4 PM.

Hear the story of George Moses Horton, a man who was a former slave and the first African American to be published in the South. Perot Museum at the Library: The Science of Magic

When: Wednesday, February 24, 2016 - 3:30 PM
Where: Audelia Road Branch Library (in the Auditorium)

Grab a lab coat and a pair of safety goggles and join the Perot Museum of Nature and Science as we explore the chemistry behind magic! You will get the chance to conduct hands-on experiments and learn how basic science can be used to explain a magician's tricks. Through several stations, students will learn the fundamentals of physical and chemical changes and how different reactions occur.
